Environmental Policy
The Company devotes large expenditures each year to reduce the environmental impact of production variables, with approximately KZT 17.2 billion spent in the last three years. The Company conducts annual environmental monitoring of the air, underground/surface water, soil, and radiation using both internal environmental laboratories and independent specialist organizations with appropriately equipped facilities and required permits/licenses.
To analyze the influence on the Caspian Sea environment, flood-prone and flooded wells are monitored. The Company collects radioactive equipment (tubing, scrap with varied diameters, etc.) from field sites for storage at a temporary radioactive waste storage yard every year to eliminate sources of radioactive contamination. To disinfect tubes and equipment, the company has been researching new technology and conducting trial testing.
Health and Safety
Our main goal is to reduce injuries and accidents at work to ensure employee safety, eliminate health damage, reduce negative impact of our activities on the environment, and improve the image and reputation of Sa-Ba LTD in accordance with the policy on occupational health, safety, and the environment. We continue to strengthen our safety culture, increase top management commitment to safety and health, broaden our employees’ rights and capacities (giving them the ability to stop work that they believe is being done in a hazardous manner), and investigate the core causes of accidents.
We’ve made excellent adjustments to our company’s occupational safety and health culture, and we’ve increased reporting transparency by more than 300 percent. The membership of Sa-Ba LTD will be the next step in increasing transparency, since it will allow for the interchange of knowledge and information. Accident investigation and incident prevention, based on root cause analysis, training, and sharing of information on lessons learned throughout the group of enterprises, had a positive impact on reducing.
Social Initiatives
Since its inception, the national corporation Sa-Ba LTD has sought not only excellent production performance but also effective work management, a high-quality asset structure based on cutting-edge corporate management, oil and gas business, and human resource development. For a short period of time, the Company was able to make significant progress. The Company developed and completed ambitious (joint and independent) projects that are significant not only for the oil and gas industry, but also for the economy as a whole. These projects were developed and implemented with the help of efficient planning systems, effective production links, and joint and independent projects. Sa-Ba LTD continues to expand its reserves and contribute to Republican oil output on a consistent basis.
